Will County Judge under fire for viewing porn at work!

Will County Judge, Joseph Polito has recently admitted to viewing hard-core pornography while at work. Specifically, Judge Polito viewed hardcore pornography before his morning court call and after his afternoon court call was over.

Though viewing "Adult Hardcore Pornography" is not illegal in and of itself, granted if you are age 21 years and older, but members of our judiciary are simply held to a higher standard.

Judge Polito admitted that his actions had “brought the judicial office into disrepute” and that they violated the state’s code of judicial conduct but denied that he had violated a section of the code that requires a judge to “conduct himself in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary.”

What is disturbing, is that there have been accusations that "Polito gave the opposing party a huge amount of deference — describing her as a “young woman in a tight leotard” and Polito as sitting enraptured by her appearance."

If this statement is true, and if Polito gave a huge amount of deference to "attractive women", he is simply put, "Not capable of being an impartial Judge."

The question at this point, is what is an appropriate punishment?

In any event, I believe that Judge Polito will have an extremely difficult time, regaining the trust of colleagues and the public due to his actions.
